ChildNet, Inc. is a private, not-for-profit community-based care (CBC) agency servicing Broward and Palm Beach County. We are contracted with the State of Florida, Department of Children and Families, to provide case management support to abused, abandoned, and neglected children. ChildNet is nationally accredited by the Council on Accreditation (COA) and employs over 450 staff at its location in Ft Lauderdale and West Palm Beach, Florida. There are current needs for individuals interested in working with the families and children to become Certified Case Managers. ChildNet provides on-site training for qualified individuals to prepare them to obtain their Florida certification as a Child Welfare Case Manager. Becoming a Child Welfare Case Manager is an opportunity for select individuals to help vulnerable children through family reunification, adoption, or independent living. Case Managers work with parents, children, foster parents, group homes, the Broward Sheriff's Office, the County's Juvenile Justice System, and many support services to meet the goals of ChildNet and the Department of Children and Families.
This position provide staff and parent training and onsite support in the area of applied behavior analysis for families and providers.
Compiles, prepares, and may be responsible for distributing daily/weekly/monthly/annual reports, invoices, public service announcements, and other materials of the department by:
- Arranging calendars and coordinates schedules for meetings, interviews, travel, equipment repair and service, and department functions.
- Receiving and reviewing various reports, plans, and/or forms for the purpose of verifying accuracy, and ensures necessary copies of pertinent documents are made and distributed to appropriate entities.
- Establishing and maintaining department logs, budget(s), records maintenance procedures, and filing systems to ensure efficient department operations.
- Processing various correspondence and forms that may be of a confidential or sensitive nature, e.g., personnel forms, invoices, work orders, purchase orders, requisitions, applications.
- Performing computer related tasks requiring broad working knowledge of a wide variety of standard computer applications, e.g., word processors, database systems, spreadsheet programs, report presentation packages, calendar schedulers, electronic file maintenance.
- Performing skilled administrative tasks requiring use of standard automated office systems, e.g., computers, telephones, facsimile machines, photocopiers, calculators, adding machines.
- Functioning as liaison between supervisors, professional staff, department head, other departments, and outside agencies, gathering and relaying information as needed.
- Performing special projects as assigned.
- Monitoring and tracking cash receipts, departmental accounts and related payment processing records when applicable to the functional area of assignment.
- Responding to inquiries, concerns and complaints from the general public; provides resolution or directs to the appropriate department/entity.

Skills / Requirements
* GED or High School Diploma
* Five (5) or more years progressively responsible work experience demonstrating ability to perform the essential functions of the position.
* Strong computer skills to include Microsoft Office 365 Suite and strong data entry skills
* Able and willing to work with a diverse client population.
